No, all of our buildings are delivered fully assembled to your site. By building our products in a manufacturing environment, we are able to better control our costs and deliver a very high quality, durable building at an affordable price.
All that is required is a reasonably flat (as opposed to level) area to place the building. We will level the building to the existing terrain [at one end] up to 4”. We do not need any additional foundation work such as gravel or concrete. We can certainly place the buildings on these foundations; however, they are not required for a sound and durable installation. In addition, we supply enough wood block to level the building up to 4”. If the site requires the building to be raised more than 4” or if you simply wish for the building to be set higher, you will need to supply 4”x8”x16” solid concrete blocks for this purpose. In addition, you may supply 4”x8”x16” or 4”x16”x16” solid concrete blocks to place under the building runners to maximize the footprint and minimize any settling that may occur. The safe placement of the wood and/or concrete leveling blocks is at the sole discretion of the installer.
Example: If you live 75 highway miles from our closest sales location, the delivery charge would be: 75 – 50 = 25 highway miles. 25 x $6 = $150 delivery fee.
The floors will easily handle heavy power equipment, motorcycles, bulk storage, lawn and garden equipment, sports equipment, etc. The Garage style has AdvanTech® flooring and is built with 2″x6″ treated floor joists, set 12″ on center. All other models have ProStruct® flooring and are built with 2″x6″ treated floor joists, set 16″ on center. In general, the Garages are not intended for regular in and out automobile traffic as one would customarily use an attached garage. If you plan on permanently storing an automobile, we recommend that you place one piece of 3/4″x 2’x 4′ plywood under each wheel for additional support.
A good rule of thumb is the building width plus 3 feet. In other words, if you choose a 10 ft. wide building, we will require 13 ft. of clearance in order to place the building on the property. If you have questions regarding the safe placement of a particular building, please contact your Sheds 365 dealer.
